inside my junkdori - sarah

In order to inspire you, I’m interviewing several junk journal enthusiasts to find out how they use their junkDori! Let me introduce you to Brand Ambassador Sarah, (aka @sarahthemoodler)

Sarah’s enduring love of books and paper shines through her many creative pursuits. Sarah met Rebecca via Instagram in 2016 and they’ve become firm friends, as well as Sarah becoming a G&Si ambassador and particularly loves her junkdoris. If you spot her on a train she'll invariably be busy collaging! She recently relocated to Northumberland with her husband and can usually be located by listening out for joyful laughter.

What style, size and colour is your junkDori?

My current one is  a 2-ring Sky Blue and measures 3” x 4.75”but I have a few, different sizes and different colours. Another of my favourites is a 1-ring Purple which is a long, thin one measuring 2” x 5”and I am about to put together a 1-ring mini pink one sized 2.5” x 4” that will hopefully fit in a tin along with some supplies.

What do you mainly use your junkDori for? 

My junkDoris are my ‘out and about’ collage journals. I always have one with me on long journeys but also on shorter trips where there’s a chance I’ll be waiting around. I also love using them for cafe journaling with friends.

How do you use your junkDori day to day? 

I pop it in a pouch with some collage papers, glue stick and scissors and keep it in my bag. This means I generally don’t go anywhere without my junkDori. I recently had it with me on a train journey full of delays which meant I had something productive and relaxing to do whilst I waited.

& finally, why do you love it? 

I love its portability, durability (due to the leather covers), flexibility (I can move pages around) and the feel of it in my hands. I love that the pages are all different and give me a variety of starting points.
